First visit and it didn’t disappoint. We had spicy tomato with egg, carrot cake, and classic North American breakfast. The food was delicious, and the spice level was perfect as well. The atmosphere and the staff were super friendly. Definitely worth the visit and highly recommended.

All kinds of delicious!!! Cardamom and saffron French Toast and Spicy Tomato Poached Eggs are phenomenal. And excellent coffee drinks too. Masuda is a wonderful host!

Very nice place to eat, drink coffee/tea, and hang out. The lighting and decor build a warm atmosphere, and the food is tasty (if a bit pricey). Amherst needed a cozy cafe downtown and Masuda's fills that niche well.

Had a fantastic meal here and the owner Masuda was lovely! The crostini with pepper jelly was delicious as were the spicy tomato poached eggs (which was great over the masala home fries). Even if you don’t have time to sit down I’d highly recommend stopping by the cafe part for their chais!

My parents went to Masuda's when they first opened and immediately told me we all needed to go. We've been going back regularly ever since. It's a beautiful space with great food. Whether you order a full meal, or a coffee with something small and sweet, it's such a comfortable and inviting space to sit and take some time to just... be. Highly recommend.

I finally tried this new cafe tucked behind Panda East. Early OCT but 86 degrees so I got the mango smoothie. So good, not too sweet, obviously a fresh mango as the main ingredient. A cozy, friendly atmosphere. If it were cooler I would try one of the amazing sounding chai drinks. Great outdoor space too. What a pleasant surprise! Update late OCT, 50, rainy. I got the saffron tea, maple scone and "deluxe date." This place is so yummy.

Masuda’s Cafe is a wonderful addition to Amherst and a place I would highly recommend! My mother and I stopped in for breakfast this morning and both ordered the Classic North American Breakfast. It was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. What made the experience even more special was the opportunity to chat with Masuda herself. She was warm, welcoming, and genuinely passionate about her cafe. We had a lovely conversation and learned that she is celebrating the one-year anniversary of opening the restaurant. It’s easy to see why she has made it through that important first year as she clearly cares deeply about both her food and her customers. Great food, friendly service, and a welcoming atmosphere made for a memorable breakfast. Congratulations to Masuda on her first anniversary, and I wish her continued success and many more years of serving the Amherst community. We will definitely be back!

What a lovely place. We were just looking for a coffee shop that served food, and were delighted to experience this. I have no familiarity with this cuisine, but this breakfast sandwich with perfectly made fried egg and a spiced beef pattie, combined with a hot cup of chai, was exactly what we needed. The whole look of the place was clean, hip, and welcoming, and the service was great. A real gem.

Absolutely great! The French toast with saffron and cardamom is the best breakfast ever! I never had anything like this before! And the taste is just surprisingly good! Also their homemade fries is so crispy and well seasoned!

A wonderful cafe! Came here to celebrate my husband's birthday and had a lovely brunch. The food was both interesting and delicious, a really special meal. Pictured is the Persian love cake, which had a delicate flavor, not soapy at all like some rosewater things. The coffee with pistachio and cardamom was an especially lovely treat.
